ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS

EMPLOYEE BONUS

First of all, THANK YOU for being part of the Agape Home Care team! These last two years have been challenging on every level, personally and professionally. For those who’ve served our clients faithfully, sacrificially, with excellence and compassion… THANK YOU! That kind of work ethic will serve you well in life and will bless others along the way!

Our intention was to include a “THANK YOU!” card with a separate bonus check, a personalized note and an explanation for how bonuses were calculated. Then the earthquake happened and disrupted everything, and we were unable to make that happen. So your regular paycheck included your bonus, which is identified as “BONUS” (on paper stub and/or online viewing).

BONUS CALCULATIONS:

Bonuses were calculated based on: 1) time employed; 2) number of hours worked this year; 3) and quality of work. New staff (less than 6 months) received a modest “thank you” for joining the team. Staff serving more than six months to a year received a percentage bonus for hours worked (with other factors considered). Staff serving more than a year received a higher percentage (with other factors considered). Due to these various factors, the bonus amounts differed for every staff (some may have received a smaller bonus than last year due to working less hours and/or other factors), so comparing bonuses with other staff is strongly discouraged as it will likely result in someone feeling less honored or valued (unnecessarily)… and thereby not appreciative of the bonus they received.

Employers are not required to give bonuses, so hopefully anything received will be appreciated by staff and be perceived as a sincere expression of appreciation on our part.
